Everyday I get emailed a fun history fact of the day, and on September 12th, I learned that in 1940, the Lascaux Cave Paintings were discovered which gave me the idea to try and incorporate Life Savers into a Cave Painting.

From Under the Subway: I normally like to play word association games in my head, so when I was thinking about Life Savers, I keyed in on its roundness, which lead me to think about round things. Thus, pizza came to my mind, and my automatic association for pizza is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles—hence how my creativity for TMNL was born.

The Real Red Cross Saves Lives

Elucidation: I started thinking about this when I was playing with ideas in my head of what shapes I could make with Life Savers. Then it struck me that kids would rather have a piece of candy when they are hurt verses a kiss from mom—thus forming the idea of the Red Cross symbol.

The Morning Loophole for Minty Freshness

Elucidation: I stumbled across this idea when snacking on some cereal late at night and realized the similarities between Froot-Loops and fruit flavored Life Savers. My next thought after that, was that people normally eat cereal for breakfast and normally have bad breath in the morning, which is why I chose to use the mint flavored Life Savers.
